What I Wore: Flyaway Pants & Aetrex Shoes

When I saw these flyaway, linen pants on the Caite and Kyla website I knew I had to try them. First of all, linen is one of the best materials for hot, sticky weather. Secondly, the slit along the sides gives them an airy, flowy feel adding another hot weather bonus. My first thought was to style them as a beach coverup. However, I realized they would work for both a beach run and store runs by styling them with a button-up oxford!

As for the Aetrex Jillian Sport shoe, those were a surprise. With a water-ready design, I knew they would work for going to the pool or beach, but would they work with my style? The Cayman Pants

As I mentioned earlier, these pants are linen. Caite & Kyla refers to these flyaway pants as The Cayman Pants. How perfectly tropical and appropriate. A cross between a skirt and a pair of pants, the legs move with the breeze as you make your way around town - or the beach. The elastic waistband elevates their comfort while making it simple to use them as a bathing suit coverup!

The Jillian by Aetrex

The Jillian Sport shoes, sent by Aetrex, are beyond comfortable. In addition to a cushioned footbed, the straps around the ankle and across the foot are velcro and adjustable. Though the color options also come in leopard, my favorite shade of pink, navy, and black, I went for the white because that's what I need right now. Boy was the pink tempting!

Aetrex has a signature arch design that helps relieve foot pain and even stabilize the natural alignment. I don't have plantar fasciitis or foot pain and I'd like to keep it that way. Also, as one who suffers from vein disease, I believe good leg health starts with shoes!

As for the look, I think they're super cute! It's all in how you style them! My sister wanted to borrow them during her visit so that only confirmed their cuteness!

Style Takeaway

An oxford top makes for a fun bathing suit coverup option.
When styling an oxford top with baggy pants, knot the top for a little waist definition.
Also, when considering the flyaway pant, remember that your legs peek out as you walk but when you sit, your whole leg is exposed if you cross them.
