Did you compile a winter bucket list? Over the winter I set out to do several fun activities to embrace life and be in the present. (If you missed it, go HERE). Well, we had a few cases of sickness, full schedules and the list goes on. However, I was still able to check off a few items. Of course I look forward to making one for the spring because this bucket list reminded me to have fun in the crazy. Here's my line up of what I did and didn't do from my list. Thanks again to Leslie from Once Upon A Time, Happily Ever After for organizing this!
What I did and didn't do!
What a sweet night! There was eighteen in attendance, including children. I enjoyed loving on ladies from our small group and was unexpectedly rewarded with flowers and chocolates. For dinner I served a simple chicken alfredo, salad and of course bread and dessert. They left me with a full heart. Side note, I had little to no time for pictures, but thankfully I was sent these few!
Get out to the Beach More - Done
February ended up being so busy that I didn't get to sit and read like I had hoped but thankfully I made it out there a time or two.
Complete Part 1 of Romans Study
Wednesday night is our last night to meet. Two of us lead a small group of college age girls in this and I've loved it. You know I'm learning as much from them as they are from me!
Get my Calendar In Order
This is a constant for me, but I prepared out several months of blank calendar sheets to organize my Instagram and blog posts, which helps me clear out the mental clutter. The bland calendar pages were from last year's Cultivate What Matters goal planning. I didn't know what to do with them, but happily found a use for them this year. This is more evidence that we build on our organization and planning. That being said, if you've tried to plan only to fail, try again.
Get Out And Ride My Bike More - NOT Done
Goodness February was crazy but March is here with time for new dreams, goals and lists!
Go Hiking - Not Done
We had it on the calendar to hike a special trail at Myakka but something came up and we haven't been able to go yet. It's going on the spring list now!
Get Back Out To Ringling Museum & Busch Gardens - NOT Done
We have passes to these places and need to make use of them. This one is a bitter pill to swallow...here's to next month!
Stay at a Local Tiny House Alone- NOT done
Before booking, my hubby and I decided to do a drive by to check the place out first. The Tiny Houses were adorable. However, the view across the street was NOT. I'm sure I would have been perfectly safe, but I wouldn't have felt safe. There's one more place I can check out. Spring list!
Spring Bucket List is coming soon and I can't wait. Praying for no sickness!!
We are so ready to get outdoors more!!
ReplyDeleteLove you did that Romans study with some ladies!!!
ReplyDelete& UMMM - I'm going to need you to link up with me with that calendar!!! :) You know I love a glimpse on how people are organizing their life via planners
How great of you to have the Bible study with college girls. I feel like that age really needs the extra support, especially from someone who knows what they're doing. Yes, Ringling is such a great place to visit!
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine's Day dinner sounds like fun evening! Staying the night in a tiny house would be amazing but I'm glad you checked it out first! It's too bad that the area was questionable! So ready to spend more time outdoors!

Even though you haven’t accomplished everything on your winter bucket list, you still did manage lots of great things! I love your idea of staying in a tiny house alone! But yes, you need to feel safe if you are going to enjoy the experience. You know solo road trips are one of my favorite cathartic activities so I am totally intrigued by your tiny house idea! But now with all the chaos in the world, I think it might be better for me to stay put until it passes. So no road trips coming up for me! But after a month of no school for my kids, I will definitely be ready for a vacation soon! Thanks for sharing and linking up with me, my friend.

Even though Covid-19 didn't really attack the U.S. until late winter, it didn't affect some of our winter bucket list plans, I think. Having these items on your list, even if they weren't accomplished, reminds you of them for spring and summer. And even next winter.
