Hello and happy first week of October! We are back into the 90s, melting my fall dreams like those Pumpkin Spice candles, flickering in every pumpkin-loving home right about now. My favorite hair style went on strike and my skin angrily protests. Of course I'm overly dramatic, but a girl should be allowed to lament, right? So now that my mini-rant is finished, I'll get straight to today's point.
Are you a where-all-the-prints girl or keep-it-all-solid girl? Most days I throw in a print somewhere, but refrained for kicks with the olive dress and blush accessories. This was after sporting my mixing mashup for our trek to the park this weekend. Scroll down for that look. Now tell me, which look do you lean more towards?
Both looks are shopped from my closet, but I'm happy to report that I'm on the hunt for some new fall looks! Oh, and both looks were photographed at the same park.
Solids are a beautiful, fun way to use accessories to my your fashion dreams come true. Or simply contrast a fabulous color. If there's a con to a solid color, I'd say it's how visible stains are. In fact, I walked around the mall with my hubby in this dress not knowing there was a large water stain in the back. Nice!

Oooh what a great idea for a post! A lil of each goodness. Love both outfits, completely different but still pack the same cute punch! Absolutely Adorable xo
ReplyDeleteYou are just precious! I love that dress on you! You have the cutest photographers ;)
ReplyDeleteBoth of these outfits are so cute Chrissy! I love your shirt dress and that is such a fun pattern mix!

Mostly, I grab solids. I do love a mix of prints though--all the texture! At the moment the TX weather is similar to "back home" it's been a little more humid here than they usually get. It doesn't bother me though!
ReplyDeleteOk, so how do I choose which I like better when I like both so very much!? I need a new shirt dress I think. Well, I probably don’t need anything, but I want a new one! I love this khaki/olive color. It is so flattering with your tan skin! You look absolutely beautiful, my friend. But of course, I also love tie dye and a good pattern mash up. So that outfit just makes me smile. Actually, I found myself smiling through the entire post...I love your photo cred photos! You are one lucky lady to have all that love around you! And all those boys/men in your life, they are even luckier to have you!

That dress looks so comfy!!
ReplyDeleteI bet it would be super cute with leggings too!
I think I'm a little in the middle. I probably lean more towards solids, but I do like a good print now and then! Your dress and hat are such a cute combo on you!
ReplyDeleteTwo cute looks on one cute girl!!!

AHH! You and Kellyann had the same pic this week! I just love jumping over to everyone's blog and seeing who everyone pics! And of course I had to see what you were up to, too! I think pattern mixing was everyone's favorite this week, too! Great picture of you and your favorite man! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love the green tunic dress! It such a great piece to own and so easy to mix and match! Also thanks for sharing the mix printing idea!

I do like having the options and variety...although all in all I probably gravitate towards prints much more.

I love solids! They just go with everything and no worries about clashing! Someday though I will print mix. I know it will happen but my love for solid colors is just a lot more than patterned ones. Then again I am obsessed with animal print and stripes so does that mean I am in the middle?! Love your shirt dress Grace. It's the perfect piece for any season and occasion. I hope your week is going well so far and happy Thursday!

That is a cute shirt dress! I love a good print and have a few of them in my wardrobe, but have to say I've been leaning more towards solid block colour pieces lately! :)
ReplyDeleteHope that you are having a great week :) I've just posted a giveaway on my blog!
