Last Wednesday I received confirmation that my sister and her family would be traveling down to see us the following day. We've had thousands of miles and a four hour time distance between us. Their visit didn't seem real. When they arrived in our driveway, I had just written my last sentence on my Friday Favorites post and I hadn't looked back.
Now that their departure has come and gone, I'm playing catch up but it was worth every moment. I look forward to sharing a few memories here on the blog, but until then it's my pleasure to take part in another Style Six link up! This week's outfit was predominantly shopped from my closet. The top traveled all the way from an adorable, well stocked closet in Indiana. (Thank you Andrea for sharing!)
The best part of today's feature is that I wore heels for kicks! There was nothing major on the agenda, simply a list of errands from the bank to the cleaners. Though more of a sneakers or boots gal, I'm occasionally drawn to the classy, confident stride from a good pair of stilettos! Makes me feel like Dolly Parton in "9 To 5" or "Straight Talk".

What's in the Megan clutch?
Remember me sharing about the PowerSheets Goal Planner? Well they are back and of course improved! I can't wait to share what style I chose. They launch at 10 a.m. today (October 16th). This company enabled me to see areas I was upside down in; neglected dreams as well as neglected priorities. Coincidently, when I'd lose focus throughout the year, it would be time to revisit the goals in the planner as instructed. I'm confident this year I will do even better! Hop on over to have a look for yourself! Cultivate Power Sheets I'll be sharing more over the next few weeks. :)
Alright dear ones, if you missed the Friday post, I'd love to see you again right HERE. And now we link! ;)What's in the Megan clutch?

Last week's pick is Emma by Style Splash. She thought of every detail from her nails to her jewelry and I love the plaid blazer she featured!

Great outfit Chrissy! I love those jeans - the hem is what caught my eye. So glad you and your sister had such a great time together - you all are adorable and look so much alike!

Kellyann
Thank you Kellyann. You're so sweet. And I agree. The hem of the jeans with the heels was a favorite for me as well!
DeleteYou look marvelous darling. I knew that top would suit you to a tee and I knew you’d put together the most ahhhmazing outfit with it. Looking so very fine my friend! xo
ReplyDeleteAndrea, you were so sweet to sent those goodies from your closet. You know I love playing with whatever folks send my way. lol. And thank you for your kind words!
DeleteGah, this outfit is all kinds of amazing! From the sassy heels to the cool boho top, zebra scarf, and frayed hem jeans. You are rocking it, my friend! And how fun that your sister came to visit. My sister surprised me last weekend with a visit and we had such a fantastic time! I have lived in northern NY for over 6 years and this was the first time she did the 4.5 hour drive to visit. But she loved my little town and realized how easy the drive was that she plans on more trips in the future. This makes me so very happy!

Awww shucks Shelbee. You're so sweet and you're writer ways fill your fingers with words and make you one of the blog commenters! ;) And I love that about you and your sister! How funny. Lauren has been in Alaska these last few years. Now she will be about 7 hours, which is far more doable!! :)
DeleteIt's hard when your family lives so far away. So glad you got to spend time with your sister! That top is darling on you and I love the heels with this outfit! It's fun to wear them once in awhile, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteJill - Doused in Pink
Indeed it is. At least now she is 7 hours away as opposed to 10 days. lol. And thank you for always being so supportive!
DeleteSo pretty! I do love wearing pretty shoes even if nothing special is on the agenda!

I need to do it more. It adds more fun to the day. ;0) Thanks for visiting!! :)
DeleteLove the gorgeous sleeve detail on that top! Well, actually I love this whole look! Gld you were able to disconnect and spend some quality time with your family!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gina. It probably doesn't surprise you that this shirt used to belong to Andrea Nine?! She's so stylish - like you! ;)
DeleteGorgeous look! I wish I could wear heels like that. But I just can't walk in them.
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie. She's such a sweetheart. And the heels were a great find for sure - $6 at WHBM!!
ReplyDeletePutting on a pair of heels definitely makes me feel more confident. I love how you styled them with the jeans!

I love that top and you are rocking those heels! I just can not... I am not coordinated enough to walk in any sort of heel without spraining my ankle.
ReplyDeleteGoing to check out that clutch right now!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny because now that we are here in AZ, I've been wearing heels more than I used to. I just love how they make me feel...seriously.
ReplyDeleteProof is how hot you look. I only hope I can sometimes look that good.
XOXO

What a gorgeous blouse! I love the whole look and, though I'm also more of a boots and sneakers kind of girl, I often think about wearing dressier shoes out. I'm so glad you did it - it looks wonderful! That clutch is awesome. I definitely need to do better with organizing my life. I've pared it down to scribbling on a calendar and then I never refer to it :/ So glad you had an awesome visit with your sister!
