Monday was my husband and I's 19th wedding anniversary so a theme on date nights circles around this brain of mine. In fact, I'm excited to continue the theme for Friday Favorites this week by sharing my favorite items that I use to get ready for an evening out. Now that the teens can hold down the fort, mom and dad can escape for a couple of hours! You know what was so nice about a quick run out? Spending little to no extra time on what to wear! That's the beauty of an easy dress. With a few accessories, you're ready to go.
The Caite & Kyla Talin
Perhaps you've seen a sneak peek of this dress on my Friday Favorites: Sister Time post. I wore it to a picnic on the beach with a local influencer group. But I knew this dress would be a main feature on the blog. Another sweet gift from Caite & Kyla that stole my boho heart the moment the dress slipped over my head and cascaded into place. There's no zippers or buttons. Just a natural comfort that flows with you.
The beautifully designed print makes me feel like an exotic princess when I'm traipsing about town. In fact, I had to stop into the Selby Library to pick up a book for one of my teens before dinner. I flitted up and down the book aisles as if I had escaped from one of the countless stories contained within them.
There's intricate detail for the appreciative eye with side panels and an asymmetrical hem. I paired this chic beauty with a thrifted blazer and my Florida style fall boots (meaning there's an open toe!). I hope you will give them a follow on Instagram or peruse their online shop for pieces that aren't meant to be fast; rather they're classics meant to stand the test of time and to be worn over and over again!
Oh how I loved this delightful evening. Did I mention that a friend from church randomly gave us their invite for a free entree on Sunday? They didn't know that Monday was our anniversary but my sweet God did. This made the evening all the more special!
The view instantaneously put me at ease and the food was delicious!
