Hello! Once again the days melded together and brought us Friday - my favorite! And this weekend starts long anticipated blog adventures. Today I'll be visiting a local dry bar, tomorrow is the Sip and Mingle Event (right here in Sarasota) and Tuesday I'm attending a private influencer event!! You know I'll be sharing on Instagram stories, followed by a recap on the blog, so stay tuned!
I seem to be getting ahead of myself, for I've current favorites to share - a recap of adventures, fun, and faves featuring another recipe, an adventure and a touch of home. Now before I do, allow me to update you on our eldest. He broke his collar bone last Thursday and was in so much pain for a few days. Thankfully everyday he improves and is able to sleep and even become more independent. He's able to dress himself and started back to school on Monday!
Favorite Family Adventure
Before Ethan broke his collar bone, we cashed in on the twin's birthday gift, season passes to Busch Gardens Tampa. Of course this is a gift to the whole family but I want us to share in on more together adventures, rather than buy stuff they'll get tired of in a month or so! Busch Gardens is a place our whole family enjoys and now the twins are old enough to ride every ride. Watching them all together makes my heart happy. Bonus: towards the end of the day, I sat between the youngers on a coaster and they each grabbed my hand, with the sweetest smiles on their faces. Heart stolen!!!
Still Loving this Graphic Tee!!
Favorite At HomeSince our family room update (read about that HERE), the walls remained bare. It's always my last step because I struggle to decide on what I want! However, when I found this cactus canvas I immediately loved it. I know. We live close to the gulf and I'm hanging cactus pictures! There's still another wall to decorate but I'm so excited to have a start!
I found the canvas and "give thanks" sign at Home Goods/TJ Maxx and the tobacco basket and flowers were found at Hobby Lobby
Favorite Fashion Piece
These SHOES! I already shared them on the blog, but I had to share again because they are comfortable, stylish, affordable and on repeat!! They are also a favorite because my sweet blogger friend Kellyann brought fun, flashes from the past with her comments about the "8-6-7-5-3-0-9" song reference. These shoes are called the "jenny" shoes! See that post HERE
Family Favorite Snack Recipe
I'm not much of a baker, so I love a no-bake recipe and I found a healthy one that the entire household loves! Here's my adapted protein bar recipe!
3/4 cup of creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup of honey
2 T of coconut oil
2 cups of rolled oats
1/2 cup of protein powder (vanilla or chocolate, though I liked chocolate better"
3 T SUPERSEED Well Flour (7 different ground seeds) or use 3 T of flaxseed meal
1/2 t cinnamon
1/4 salt
1/3 c of chocolate chips (I coarsely chopped and dropped down to a 1/4 c with chocolate protein powder)
Melt down coconut oil, honey and peanut butter together. Add dry ingredients and mix together.
Cut into bars and you're done!!
Thank you "Erin" at Well Plated for the original recipe!
For another great peanut butter bar recipe, check out Living On Cloud Nine for hers!Ok my friends! That's all for this post. Mommas I hope you have a wonderful mother's day weekend. I don't know if my boys have anything planned but I'll not expect it. I honestly feel spoiled enough!
Biggest of hugs!
Chrissy

I totally gotta try those bars. I'm all about making things at home without all the JUNK in them!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. I think it's the best amusement park (next Disney...duh). Love the decor over your sofa. That turned out beautifully and is perfectly balanced. Well done! Those bars look yummy. Katie made brownies yesterday with black beans in them and we could not believe how good they were. Happy Mother's Day sweet friend!! XO
