Happy Sunday! Can you tell by my smile that I find the sunshine to be glorious? After days (you may relate) of dreary rain, the sun made a dazzling appearance and once again the world looked clean and bright. Motivated by the sun's rays, I decided to style this shirt not one, but two ways and just in time for our first Sunday Showcase link up with Ada at Elegance and Mommhood, KellyAnn at This Blonde's Shopping Bag and myself, with special guest and co-host, Shelbee from Shelbee on the Edge. Eeek! Sunshine AND a link up!!
What is the Sunday Showcase and why am I so delighted to take part in it? Well, it's a fun link up held once a month, that's open for TWO weeks and invites you to feature or shall I say "showcase" anything you like! These ladies are part of my blog support system; encouraging, challenging and wonderfully inclusive. I met them through a link up and it's an honor to know Ada, Kellyann and Shelbee! Linking up changed the world of blogging for me!!
So what am I "showcasing" this month? A silly story on how I acquired a pretty top...some nonsensical fun with what I consider to be a mini-fashion adventure/surprise that I instigated on Corrie LeeAnn's Facebook page.
I received a notification on Facebook that Corrie LeeAnn's was hosting a flash sale, so I hopped on over like the good little clearance hound I am to see what was available. Waiting for me there were 3 to 5 shirts in my size at the same price and I struggled to choose between them! After clicking through the shirts several times an idea formed; albeit a presumptuous one, but I went for it anyway. Check out my comment on the link below...
As you can see she agreed to play along. From there I eagerly awaited for my package to arrive and when it did, I had it opened in a matter of seconds. Corrie did not disappoint!
Also included in the package was a sweet note and a pair of surprise earrings by Plunder Jewelry - my first pink pair (See how I styled them with plaid and grey here.)! This mini-adventure added a small thrill in anticipation and the gift of delight in the little things. Corrie, if you're reading this, THANK YOU!
And now back to this this outfit styled with a green theme!
The jeans have a cost per wear of about $1 now and I was happy to wear them free from tights or leggings. From the jeans, I added the green scarf and green shoes from WHBM. They are from fall and winter clearance sales. I told you. I'm a clearance hound.
The Aldo purse is from DSW and it's the perfect size for a planner, ipad and even a bottle of water!
Styled With Pink
Of course I wanted to style the earrings that came with the package so I grabbed a couple more pink accessories and got ready to meet a couple friends at a coffee shop! The adorable cupcake purse was recently featured in the Spread the Love post, and the scarf was featured on the Valentine's Post here.
Now be sure to visit the hosts, link up your post below and then go check out the others!

Chrissy, I of course always love your style, but this may be one of my favorite outfits ever of yours! Well, because, green! And pink! Corrie really hit the nail on the head by choosing this top for you...you are rocking it. And those shoes...I am green with envy! Love, love, love the entire outfit and your happy energy! And all of the little details and accessories in both ways you have styled this outfit! This was super fun to be a co-host for a brand new link party! Rock on, my friend, and enjoy the sunshine!
